If you have one of the devices listed here then you can enable the portrait mode in your smartphone.

Note- Your smartphone should be rooted to enable the portrait mode.

Steps-

Download the build prop editor app from here 

and download the google camera mod apk from here 

Open the app and grant the root permissions to it.

Now click on the pencil icon on the top right corner as shown in the screenshot

Now scroll down till the empty space comes.

Copy this code from here and paste it into it.

Code-

persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1

Now save it by clicking on the save button above and just close it.

After that, reboot your phone.

After rebooting successfully, just install the google camera and open it up.

Allow the permissions and slide right and choose the settings option from there as shown in the screenshot.

Now, scroll down and choose the advanced option and from there find and enable the “portrait mode“.

Now close the google camera app and reboot your phone again.

Now after rebooting, open the google camera app again and slide right and now here you will see a new option for Portrait mode just click on that and now you can take portrait shots with your single camera smartphone.
